South Side Public Improvement District (District) Petition for Renewal and Expansion
The purpose of the District is to supplement and enhance services provided within the District, but not to replace or supplant existing City services provided within the District. The general nature of the proposed services and improvements to be performed by the District includes, but is not limited to: public area enhancements such as streetscape, lighting, and open space improvements, enhanced safety and security initiatives, business recruitment and marketing activities, cultural events and programs and related expenses incurred to establishing, administering, and operating the District as authorized by the Act.
By signing the petition to renew the Southside PID, you are helping bring essential enhancements, resources, and revitalization efforts directly into the District.

Once an Advisory Body is established, the property owners within the PID have control over the types of improvements, level of maintenance, and amount of assessments to be levied against the property owners. PIDs are authorized for a period of up to 7 years with the option for renewal.
